Boston's
Sustainable Business Leader Program accepted 27 companies from ten Boston
neighborhoods in June 2008. Participants are receiving technical assistance for one year. An
SBLP coordinator conducts a sustainability assessment in these six areas:
Based on recommendations from the
assessment, each business is creating a Sustainability Action Plan. Upon
successful completion of the Action Plan, which may take up to one
year, a business can be designated "Sustainable Business
Leader".
