Boston Building Materials Co-op is a not-for-profit consumer co-op that is open to the public. Unlike commercial stores, we are not in business to make a profit. Our purpose is to provide high quality materials at a reasonable cost and to teach people how to maintain and improve their homes. The place for homeowners and renovators to make a positive impact on their communities and the environment as they care for and improve their homes.

Install thermometers in each office to measure A.C. and Heat temperature
Create and post signs in kitchen and bathroom to encourage best practices for water conservation
Set policy for office manager to purchase environmentally friendly cleaning products and to buy local whenever possible
Relocate existing outside composter and use it regularly
Include sustainability policy in all job descriptions
