7. Only Use It When You Need It
There are great alternatives, like Zip Car, that offer cars on demand. Don’t hassle with parking, maintenance, and auto insurance. Leave that to the experts and call on them only when you need a ride.
8. Beam Me Up Scotty
WebEx the USA 's largest Web meetings provider reported a 40% increase in usage in the first six months of 2008 vs. 2007. Although not the most personal approach it offers a less expensive and safer alternative to travel.
